A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a gold grizzly bear standing erect, hind paws coinciding with the lower edge of a concave blue scroll lined blue, terminating at the waist of the bear and inscribed on the left "PROTECTORS," and on the right, "OF PEACE," in gold letters, all with red in the areas enclosed by the conjoining scroll. The insignia is worn in pairs.
