Army Aircraft Crewman Master Badge is a badge of the United States Military issued to the personnel who serve as crew members on board of military aircraft.
To qualify as an aircrew member and receive the Aircrew Badge, the personnel must undergo advanced training in aircraft in-flight support roles.
Aircraft Crew Member badge was similar in design to the Aviator Badge.This Badge was issued to the members of Army who are trained in flight operations, including pilots, bombardiers, navigators, and gunners.
The badge was also awarded to certain ground personnel at the discretion of their commanding officer.
This Aircraft Crew Member Badge is also awarded to the members with flying status such as aircraft maintenance supervisors and technical inspectors.
The badge was issued in three degrees : Basic, Master, and Senior.
The Badge to be issued depends upon the level of seniority, that is the number of flight hours obtained and years of service in the United States Army.
The name of the Aircraft Crewman Badge was officially changed to the Army Aviation Badge by the Department Of Army in the year 2000.
